Our Solvang Yulefest activities begin December 4th with the tree lighting ceremony and on Saturday December 5th we have our annual Christmas parade. It is a beautiful in Solvang with the store’s display windows  decorated and the sidewalk trees full of lights.

President Obama and I are proud of your community and we applaud your achievement.”

We are very pleased to be recognized for our historic preservation, especially in anticipation of Solvang’s centennial celebration in 2011. Solvang is one of only 30 communities in California and 795 communities in the USA to have received this honor since the program’s inception in 2003. As the chairman of the “Preserve America Committee”, a Solvang resident and owner of the Solvang Gardens Lodge I am very honered for our city.
